Hisham is a business professional with with 17+ years of experience diverse industries including food, hospitality, media and healthcare industries. After completing masters of business administration from MET Mumbai India, which is among the leading institutes in the country he started his career with Ideal Caterers a family business of outdoor catering business established by his father late Mr A.M. Kabir in the year 1984 which was among the pioneers in the professional outdoor catering industry way back in 1984.
Hisham took over the business after his fathers death and at the time it was on a stage of decline and under his leadership it became one among the leaders in the outdoor catering business in Kerala India and he introduced live cooking stations to customers and setup new benchmarks in service quality and standards that match up to the quality standards of any premium 5 star hotels.
He launched a QSR outlet called “just biryani” being the most popular dish of Ideal caterers and was an instant hit among the masses, he also launched home delivery services with it in a period when delivery platforms was unheard of.
During this tenure in Ideal caterers, he catered to several high profile clients and celebrities, he also bagged catering orders from global leaders in IT industry like ernest and young and Ideal caterers is among listed vendors in their global vendor list where ideal caterers served over 2000 guests for their annual function held at Technopark Trivandrum, several other clients include Geojit BNP Paribas, The Nest Technologies, Kerala police Academy, The Hindu news publication, besides several other celebrity weddings.
His passion for food technology and innovation and to make good food available to a wider audience globally, made him venture into a joint collaboration with cift (a Government of India enterprise) where he became the first entrepreneur to venture out into ready to cook gravy using retort technology which had a shelf life of 12 months in room temperature under the brand name “freedom kitchen” ready to cook curry base. It was well received in the market and specialty among young urban population.
He also launched his own restaurant called “the dining room” where he introduced highly exotic dishes which Includes Hyderabad Haleem, it is still remaining as the only restaurant in Kerala which serves Hyderabadi Haleem every day (a product which has a high labour intensive cooking method to be served on all days at any Restaurant in Kerala by using shock freezing technology) he has closely worked with Symega flavours and technologies for developing Food Standardisation and taste enhancement.
Besides this he has also rendered his service as a sales consultant to popular south india based FMCG company called Kajah FMCG in developing sales strategies. He has also worked closely with Truenut Dubai for developing their retail strategy.
Now he is looking for launching food retail operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and are looking to collaborate with franchise units that wants to make their presence in the highly potential Saudi Arabia market.
